Handcrafted from stoneware clay, these hanging ceramic fish bring movement, texture and quiet character to both indoor and outdoor spaces. Each piece is individually made, ensuring no two are exactly alike.
One side is finished in a rich, expressive glaze, with each fish featuring its own unique colour. The reverse is decorated with Japanese tissue transfer paper in a complementary design, creating two distinct faces that are revealed as the segments gently turn. Joined with leather, the articulated body moves freely in the breeze, allowing either side to become the feature depending on the moment.
Each fish is finished with a combination of timber, copper or handcrafted clay beads, giving every piece its own unique personality. Hung alone, they create a striking sculptural statement. Displayed in a group, the ceramic segments occasionally meet, producing a soft, delicate tinkle as they move with the wind.
